Showers possible in North Texas on Wednesday, dropping temperatures slightly
An isolated shower is possible on Thursday with highs near 93 degrees. However, the coverage of the storms will be lower. A mid-level ridge will begin to develop, meaning temperatures will start to increase, especially during the peak heating in the afternoon. Winds will remain from the south, gusting up to 25 mph.
Through the end of the week, a few sea breeze showers and storms will be possible for cities to the southeast of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, but most of North Texas will stay dry.
As the ridge of high pressure continues to strengthen through the weekend, highs will climb into the upper 90s by Saturday and Sunday. Believe it or not, this weekend will be the hottest that we've seen so far this year. Be sure to take frequent breaks into the A/C and drink plenty of water.
