Heat indices to range from 97 to over 100 degrees across North Texas as summer begins
The doldrums of summer have arrived with the solstice.
Highs this week vary little, nor does the maximum heat index each afternoon. No thought of rain for most of us.
Rain chances show up just about every day in our southeast counties along both sides of I-45. There are more clouds and stronger breezes in these areas, thanks to sea-breeze storms traveling far inland from the Gulf.
Counting down the last days of June, much of the "summer-same" served to us all. Long-range forecasts show some suggestion of rain in the early days of July. Keep watering the yards and gardens.
