Who did the Flyers draft? Track every Philadelphia pick in the 2025 NHL draft
The Philadelphia Flyers entered the 2025 NHL draft with 10 selections, including three in the first round and six in the first 50 picks.
For the first time in its history, the annual entry draft is being held in a decentralized location — the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The draft began at 7 p.m. Friday and resumed at noon Saturday.
Philadelphia is entering the next phase of its rebuild, kicking it off earlier this week by acquiring highly-skilled forward Trevor Zegras from the Anaheim Ducks.
Flyers general manager Danny Briere has had a busy weekend. On Friday, he traded some picks to move up in the first round. Then on Saturday the Flyers traded back a few spots in the second round but flipped a third-rounder for another second rounder.
The Orange and Black ended up with two first-round selections and four second-round picks.

Who did the Flyers draft?
Porter Martone: With the sixth overall pick in the 2025 NHL draft, the Flyers selected , who plays for the Brampton Steelheads of the Ontario Hockey League. Martone, who served as Brampton's captain, finished as the sixth best North American skater by the NHL's Central Scouting. He scored 37 goals and 98 points for the Steelheads during the 2024-25 season.
Jack Nesbitt: The Flyers with the 12th overall pick. Philadelphia sent the 22nd and 31st picks to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Nesbitt is a 6-foot-5 center who scored 25 goals and played 65 games last season. He finished as the 15th best North American skater by Central Scouting.
Carter Amico: The Flyers kicked off Saturday selecting a physical D-man from New England, Carter Amico. The 6-foot-5 righty from the U.S. National Under-18 Team was the 41st-ranked skater on the NHL Central Scouting's final rankings. After spending awhile on the clock with their initial draft choice, pick No. 36, the Flyers traded back in the 2nd round, giving up the 36th pick and 68th pick to Seattle for the 38th and 57th picks.
Jack Murtagh: The Flyers picked this left winger, another U.S. National Under-18 Team member, 40th overall. Murtagh notched 53 points in 56 games for the team and was the 30th-ranked skater on NHL Central Scouting's final rankings.
Shane Vansaghi: This Michigan State freshman forward went to the Flyers at 48th overall. He skated in all 37 games in his freshman year and notched six goals and 10 assists.
Matthew Gard: The Flyers traded away their third-round pick to get a late second-rounder from Seattle, and used it to select at 57th overall. Gard is a 6-foot-4 center for the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League and was the 37th ranked North American skater by NHL Central Scouting. He finished the season tied for the team lead in points with 36 in 66 games.
Max Westergard: The Flyers selected forward , of Finland, with the 132nd pick. Westergard (19) and fourth in points (50) in 41 games for Frolunda's Under-20 junior team this season, according to the NHL.
Luke Vlooswyk: The Flyers selected 6-foot-5 defenseman with the 157th pick.
Nathan Quinn: The Flyers selected center with the 164th pick.
Who did the Philadelphia Flyers draft last year?
The Flyers left the 2024 NHL draft with seven players, with Jett Luchanko headlining the class at 13th overall.
Luchanko made the Flyers' opening-night roster and played four games with the club before being sent back to junior. The 18-year-old will likely have another opportunity to make the NHL roster in the 2025-26 season.
The Flyers also drafted center Jack Berglund, defenseman Spencer Gill, center Heikki Ruohonen, right wing Noah Powell, right wing Ilya Pautov and defenseman Austin Moline in 2024.
