Sunday likely the hottest day of the year so far, as temperatures top out in the upper-90s in North Texas
Monday is the last day of June. The last two weeks of it? One day of rain and typical summer highs.
We'll close the month with a day slightly cooler than normal.
A weak cold front arrives at the Red River and stalls out over the next 24 hours. This will serve as a focal point for modest storm chances. They start Monday at 10% and "peak" at 20% on Monday night and Tuesday.
All the rain chances right now are front-loaded at the start of the week. For the long holiday weekend, temperatures are expected to climb to the hottest days so far this year. A sure sign we've moved into July, the second hottest month of the year.
