Highway 285 in Colorado reopens after fatal crash causes closure
Highway 285 has been reopened after Colorado law enforcement temporarily closed both directions of the highway while investigating the scene of a fatal crash Saturday morning.
Authorities said the crash happened around 8:57 a.m. near milepost 234 on Highway 285 southbound. Two vehicles were reportedly involved in the crash, and two people were taken to the hospital.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office closed the roadway between Highway 73 and Log Trail while authorities worked the scene. The highway reopened just after 1:30 p.m.
